Looking after children
In this task I am going to talk about my PIES and the development of them. I asked my mother to help with my coursework and she told me that what l was like when I was the age of birth to 2 years. When I was the age of 0-3 months, I was learning how to lift my head and my chest as part of my physical development. When I was the age from 0-3 months, I was learning to smiles and I became more expressive and communicate more with my face and body developing as part of my social skills. When I was the age from 0-3 months, I was learning how to dependent on others and imitates some movements and facial expressions as part of my emotional skills. When I was the age from 0-3 months, I was learning how to explore the environment with hands my intellectual skills. When I was the age of 6 months, I was learning how to rolls from my back to tummy and hold something so that I can stand up, so l was learning how to sit up with some support in physical skills. When I was the age of 6 months, I was scared of strangers and I was also afraid when strangers picked or lifted me up so I start to cry in social skills When I was the age of 6 months, I used to cry when my mother leaves for work or shopping emotional development. When I was the age of 6 months, I like to watch adults when they are talking to my parents and try to copy them, this is an intellectual skill. When I was the age of 9 months, I will like to sit alone by my self , I try to picks up some object and try to put in my mouth and I could hold a spoon and bash it about in my plate in physical skill. When I was the age of 9 months, I try to be shy when stranger come to my parent's house and I tried clapping -social and physical skill. When I was the age of 9 months, I get so angry easily because when my parents ask me to eat I start to cry or get angry easily and l like to show fear of making loud noises when my parents ask to stop was I am do in emotional skills. When I was the age of 9 months, I look for a toy that has fallen down from the cupboard in intellectual skill When I was the age of 12 months, I would stand alone and I learn to pull myself up to a stand holding onto furniture-physical skills. When I was the age of 12 months, I used to waves bye -bye to my parents ââ¬â social skill. When I was the age of 12 months, I like to be close to familiar adults ââ¬â emotional skill. When I was the age of 12 months, I learn how to saying my first words -intellectual skills. When I was the age of 18 months, I was learn how to walk confidently, uses crayons to scribble -physical skills When I was the age of 18 months, I used to copies domestic tasks and I used play alone but like to be near a family friend -social skill When I was the age of 18 months, I want to do things for my self in emotional skill When I was the age of 18 months, I don't really like fizzy drink for example cola and sprite .if I don't drink it I will walk to the kitchen zinc and pour it away and I will come back for a different drink for example orange and pineapple. After drinking it I put my fingers in the cup and play with the cup intellectual skill. When I was the age of 2 years old, I used to naming parts of the body and I use to put a small table near to the kitchen zinc and stand on it and say that I was to wash my bowls and cups in physical skill When I was the age of 2 years old, I and my mother used to go to church and copy was the pastor it says for amen. When I see my friends crying I also follow them and start to cry too in social skill When I was the age of 2 years old, I become jealous of my friends when their parents has brought them a new bicycle and I begins to show my defiant behaviour in emotional skill When I was the age of 2 years old, I use shape sorter to arrange them in order in a simple size and I learn how to sing a simple rhymes for example halleluiah in intellectual skill.

Dream House Essay
Everyone has their own thoughts about their dream house.à These days homes are more affordable because of the economy and all the foreclosures makes it much easier to afford a really nice house. My dream house is not a fancy house that I could never afford; its a home I could see my wife and I having in the future. I have seen many homes that I thought to myself, this house would be perfect. A few characteristics I want to describe about my dream house are the appearance, location, and decor. I want my house to have a nice large home with coffee stained wood finish on the outside full of crystal clear windows of all different sizes. I imagine as you walk into my home there would be high ceilings and hanging over the entryway would be a big crystal chandelier. When entering the home, there would also be a place for you to hang your coat, rest, and take off your shoes from a long dayââ¬â¢s work. I want a house that is not brand new but not too old either because I do not want to have fix the house constantly or hear the creaking floors while walking around. I always thought it would be nice to have solar panels, a windmill, and a garden so I can be self reliant. The grass would be a bright healthy green almost as if it was not real. Around the house would be a large fence to allow for our privacy and to keep the animals in. My dream house will be in a community, but I want it to be in an area that is not to busy for convenience and for the safety of our future children. I always thought it would be nice to have a couple of acres for my dogs to run about and a beautiful lake stocked with fish for the dogs to go into and cool off during the hot summers. Illinois is a beautiful state and would be a nice place to settle down and have this dream house. Another significant thing about the home would be the long cobblestone driveway you would have to travel up leading to our home and front porch. It would also be nice to have a day room attached to the house with windows that easily open and close so my wife could sit out there in the winter to smoke and not be so cold. I want the inside to be tasteful, like I imagine a doctorââ¬â¢s home looking. There would be two floors and a basement. When you first walk in, you see the family room which is very calm and relaxing. You continue to the kitchen and dining room with an open floor plan. The basement would be split in half for both my wife and I. My part of the basement would be man themed, full of energy and excitement. There would be a pool table, arcade style games, a shadow box full of military memorabilia, big televisions, and gaming systems. My wife and I would have the master suite upstairs with a California king Temporpedic bed sitting with a beautiful oak finished baseboard and headboards, an enormous television, big bay windows to allow the cool breezes in during the hot, humid summers, and big dark curtains to keep the sun out during the mornings. I do not have any children currently but hope to have one or two in the future and they would also have bedroom up stairs. I would like their bedrooms to be kid oriented so for example if we have a boy nice blues and clouds or jungle with animals. If its a girl then pinks and ponyââ¬â¢s or whatever it is my wife decides. My dream home will have an elegant appearance, be in a convenient location, and be tastefully decorated. I also believe a home like this would be perfect for the holidays or family gathering and would allow me to see my family more. These are all the things that would make my home perfect for my wife and I in addition I look forward to making this dream home a reality.

The objective, thus, becomes the accurate identification of the gifted, the subsequent design of a curriculum and selection of teaching approaches which would address the needs of the gifted child without overlooking the child's social and emotional needs on the one hand, and which are founded on a realistic assessment of the school's resources. 3 Defining Giftedness Over the past century, the meaning of gifted' has changed from a single-dimensional (High IQ) definition to one in which multiple abilities and intelligences are recognized (Sternberg, 1993). This understanding has opened the door to a greater understanding of gifted students and their needs in schools. The most commonly used definition of gifted and talented is provided by the Educational Amendment of 1978. It is, according to Sternberg (1993), a multi-dimensional definition based on the report to the U.S. Congress by the U.S. Commissioner of Education, Sidney Marland. As stated in this report, gifted children include those with demonstrated ability or achievement, or with the potential for achievement in any one, or combination, of the following (Sternberg, 1993): General intellectual ability Specific academic aptitude Creative or productive thinking Leadership ability Visual and performing arts Psychomotor ability By specifying six areas of achievement, the report suggests that giftedness is a complex phenomenon which can assume many forms, or several overlapping ones (Sternberg, 1993). 4 Identification of Gifted Children Identifying gifted children is always difficult. At the preschool/kindergarten level, formal testing procedures to identify gifted and talented children are not common.
